EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT TRIATHLON

 Triathlon is a multidisciplinary individual sport that consists of swimming with a Lifeguard Class near me, cycling, and running, performed one after the other.

HISTORICAL BACKGROUND

There are some doubts about the origin of this sport.

SWIMMING

Swimming heats are held in open water but can also be held in swimming pools. The start can be done in the water, on the beach or from a dock. The race is marked by buoys and triathletes emerge from the water near T1 (first transition zone), where they must leave their wetsuit, swimming cap and goggles in a special designated area and only pick up their bike after putting on his helmet.



CYCLING

Only once they are out of T1, they can get on the bike and start pedaling either alone or in a group.

Around a few hundred meters from the transition area from the cycling to the running zone (T2) the athlete can start to relax his legs and just before crossing the finish line to T2, he should leave the bike and run to the designated point, where you must get into position, remove your helmet and put on your running shoes.

TO RUN

The athlete runs the last heat to the finish line. He must find the rhythm carefully in the first 500-1000 meters focusing on the cadence of the legs, which are different from those in cycling; Once he's found the right breathing rhythm and beat, he'll be in full throttle all the way with American Lifeguard Association Miami!

Triathlon is certainly an energy draining sport, and one that is particularly hard on the aerobic system, but given all the proper precautions it can be fun for everyone from toddlers to seniors, so why not try it?
