AQUATIC INSTINCT: WATER IS THE ORIGIN

Everything begins in the water. About 70 percent of the Earth's surface is covered by water, and from space our planet looks like a pale blue dot. As Arthur C. Clark said “How inaccurate it is to call this planet Earth when it is clearly Ocean with Lifeguard Certification near me”.

Since the earliest times, humanity has felt the attraction of water, and water is where many of us feel most at home. We swimmers have an innate need to get into the water and express our own aquatic instinct. Although water holds a particular meaning for each one, it never fails to evoke common feelings and emotions:

HAPPINESS.

Whether it's carefree childhood play in the backyard pool, the delight of days at sea with family and friends, or the joy of achieving a sporting goal, many of our fondest memories feature water.

CONNECTION.

As swimmers, we feel united with other water lovers. As competitors, we have all known the same euphoria and the same disappointment, the enthusiasm and the discouragement, the adrenaline and the exhaustion and the desire to improve. Our passion and shared experiences unite us.

RELAXATION.

As soon as we get into the water we feel that the stress and tension remain on the shore. Swimming rejuvenates the mind as well as the body. Induces a feeling of peace with the American Lifeguard Association Miami.

CONCENTRATION.

Alone with our thoughts in the water it is easier to think clearly and stay clear. We focus on the bottom line, determined to improve. Water brings out the best in us. We know what we want and we go for it.

FREEDOM.

For those of us who spend a lot of time around water, it doesn't get any more natural. It is in our DNA. It gives us confidence. It makes us feel free.

The aquatic instinct evolves in everyone differently, but whether water is your playground, your home country or your battlefield, whether you are training for your next race or splashing in a lake in the middle of summer, you feel the water and you enjoy the energy that it transmits to you.

Whatever your goal, and whatever direction your aquatic instinct takes you, arena will be with you to help you reach the next milestone along the way. Water has no limits and has no end.
